Visits by appointment only!

Services
My services are designed to make your dog's experience with rehabilitation as positive as possible. Not only to have your dog's experience in mind but also yours. If you have any questions or would like to arrange an initial appointment then please contact me.
My aim as a rehabilitation therapist is to help you and your dog through their rehabilitation process by building muscle, easing any pain they may have, and getting them back to appropriate fitness. Going through the rehabilitation process is hard for the dogs as well as the owners which is why I am here to make it easier.

All sessions need to have consent form signed by vet.

Mobility
As I recently qualified as a Canine Mobility Nurse I am pleased to add land based sessions to my services. These will be able to be received either in the centre or as home visits.
Initial Mobility Session 1 hour - £70
This is the first session you will attend when starting your dogs mobility journey which consists of around 10-15 minutes of us talking through your dogs history. The rest of the session will then include us going through certain exercises and gathering an idea of your dog's condition before creating a mobility plan.

Subsequent Mobility Session 45 minutes - £50
This session will mainly include your dog completing their exercises as part of their mobility plan while we go through how they got on with their at home exercises and then amend the plan if need be.
Mobility session with LED therapy 55 minutes - £60
This session will include everything involved in the mobility session with an extra 10 minutes which will include the use of my LED machine.
Mobility session with hydrotherapy session 45 minutes - £70 in centre only
This session will include a 25 minute mobility session with a 20 minute hydrotherapy session.
Hydrotherapy
Initial Hydrotherapy Session 45 mins - £65
The initial hydrotherapy session is the first session you will experience when coming to Cambridge Hydrotherapy Centre. This session is 45 minutes long which consists of 15-20 minutes talking over the dogs history, referral form and me assessing your dog. The rest of the session will consist of them in the pool with a massage and a shampoo and shower at the end. Please be mindful that during an initial your dog will not be swimming the whole session.
Subsequent Hydrotherapy Session 30 mins - £45
The subsequent hydrotherapy session is the session that your dog will undertake after their initial sessions. This session is 30 minutes long and consists of 20 minutes in the pool including a massage on the ramp and then around 10 minutes shampoo and shower with time to rebook at the end.

Fitness, Introduction to water and senior swims
Fitness Session 30 mins - £40
The fitness session is for those with no clinical conditions and just want to enjoy a bit of extra fitness and stimulation. The first session will include a small chat at the start to go through any concerns or worries there may be and important information eg in case of an emergency. This session will include swimming, shampoo and shower with time to rebook at the end.
Introduction to water 20 mins - £30
This session is perfect for those pups that have never been swimming before and want to gain some experience. This session is a perfect life lesson in case they fall in somewhere. This session is also useful in getting puppy energy out without doing strenuous exercise.
Senior Session 20 mins - £30
This session is for those old biddies who need the support f the water and a non-weight bearing exercise but cannot cope with a whole 30 minute session. This session will consist of 10 minutes in the water and then 10 minutes at the end for shampoo and shower with time to rebook.
Victory visit
What is a victory visit?
Victory visits work to create a Fear Free experience for the dog during care by familiarizing the dog through repeated visits and training to remain relaxed with future care. These visits employ the positive activities the dog enjoys doing, such as receiving extra special treats.
Who would benefit a victory visit?
A victory visit is a 15 minute session at the centre which allows the dog to meet me and the centre at their own pace. Anyone can come for a victory visit but is beneficial for those who may be nervous of something or someone new. A dog can come for as many victory visits as it may need.
Does a victory visit involve swimming?
No. A victory visit is purely for the dog to meet me and get used to the centre.
These sessions are free of charge.

LED therapy
Handheld LED Device 10 mins - £10
To accelerate the body's natural healing process, LED therapy involves directing infrared radiation into irritated or injured tissues.
While musculoskeletal problems like arthritis are frequently treated with LED therapy, other illnesses have also been linked to the benefits of LED therapy.
Light photons can enter the tissue when the LED is positioned in direct contact with the skin.
It is believed that the particular light wavelengths employed may interact with molecules within the cells to induce a variety of biological effects, even though the precise mechanisms remain unknown.
These effects have been described as a decrease in inflammation, an increase in the rate of tissue repair, and an increase in the local blood supply.
What are the benefits?
There are many potential reported benefits to LED therapy:
- Anti-inflammatory effect
- Mild pain relief
- Accelerated tissue repair
- Soothing muscle tension
- Faster wound healing
- Reduction of scar tissue
- Improved nerve function
What will happen to my pet?
You should expect your pet to require several sessions of LED therapy in most cases.
The LED is non-painful and only produces a light-warming sensation.
The head of the LED machine is held directly over the area to be treated for the scheduled treatment duration, usually 3-10 minutes.
There are no known side-effects of LED therapy and many pets find LED therapy quite relaxing!
This treatment is only for recurring customers as an add-on to their hydrotherapy session! This is non-negotiable.
