What is Fear Free?

The goal of Fear Free® techniques is to help your pets experience less Fearful, Anxiety, and Stress free (FAS) during their  Hydrotherapy sessions. From the time they arrive until it's time for them to go, we want your pet to be content and at ease!

We adore Treats! To make sure that pets have a terrific time and enjoy their time at Cambridge Hydrotherapy Centre, we use lots of treats and positive reinforcement techniques throughout sessions. Instead of employing harsh restraint methods, we work with cooperative care approaches, giving your pet the flexibility and choice to receive the care that best suits them.

Pets who have a history of bites, have previously displayed stress, anxiety, or fear in veterinary settings, or who occasionally avoid contact are all welcome to visit. In order to minimise FAS, we will collaborate with you and your pet to determine the best course of action.

We are aware that pet visits for hydrotherapy can be frightening, and that occasionally they simply require a little more time to get used to the new environment and feel comfortable. We go cautiously and increase at your pet's speed. In order to give your pet a positive experience before beginning treatment, we also offer Victory Visits, which let them meet us and explore their surroundings while receiving lots of treats and no treatments. These are free of charge.
